Calumet Electronics Acquires Second Altix ADIX Direct Imaging System

Stephen Vairo, President of Calumet Electronics, announced recently that his company has purchased and installed their second ADIX Direct Imaging system from Altix. When making the announcement, Mr. Vairo said, “My team had spent over eight years evaluating every DI and LDI system available on the market. We comprehensively studied each aspect of every system, and finally decided that the system to have in terms of capability, technology and overall value was the ADIX. We now have two systems installed and are very happy with their performance. With our Intelligent Engineering, Advanced Equipment and Smart Systems, we are always looking for the right equipment that will complement the rest of our process. Consequently, the ADIX solution fits perfectly into our process-controlled system.”

Sylvain Dromaint, Altix’s Vice President and General Manager of Altix North America added, “We are extremely pleased to be working with Calumet and appreciate their professional approach to their business and manufacturing processes. They are one of the most innovative PCB companies that we have ever worked with. Altix looks forward to growing our business relationship with Calumet in the future”.

ADIX is a cost-effective and flexible solution, capable of meeting the quick turnaround and high-volume output requirements of many PCB manufacturers. The ADIX uses a high-powered 4-wavelengh light source solution that provides more flexibility to work with any photoresist on the market today. Therefore, the ADIX machine can produce not only solder-mask imaging requirements, but also image dry-film for inner and outer layer processes. The ADIX can resolve features down to 25 microns (1 mil), providing high registration quality.
