Artnet Pro Acquires Maxsys Technologies’ Verification Station Product Line for PCB Manufacturing Inspection
The AOI verification equipment increases productivity and efficiency of quality control
San Jose, California, August 9, 2004 – Artnet Pro, a provider of cost-effective highly reliable reused equipment together with state-of-the-art technical services to PCB (printed circuit board) manufacturers, today announced the acquisition of Maxsys Technologies (Irvine, California) verification station product line. According to the contract signed between the companies, Artnet Pro will sell the Maxsys’ verification station product line and provide maintenance and support to new and existing customers. With this acquisition, Artnet Pro broadens its offering to PCB manufacturers and allows them to increase productivity and perform quality control more efficiently can cost-effectively.
The acquired verification station product line includes two main systems: MV-2Nu and MV-2G. These systems have already been installed at DDI, IBM Endicott, and Sanmina.
The MV-2Nu is an ultra-fine resolution AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) verification system that provides advanced capabilities with unprecedented performance. Combined with Artnet Pro’s sub-systems, the Illumination Video (IV) and the Digital Motion Control Modules, the MV-2Nu enables faster throughput and definitive defect comprehension. The MV-2Nu features universal connectivity and is compatible with any existing AOI equipment currently available in the market.
The MV-2G is an advanced Glass Illumination Video System comprised of special optics, ultra-fine resolution CCD video camera, and an exclusive high-output homogeneous illumination unit. This system provides exceptional field depth and image clarity while eliminating glare and allowing the users to benefit from a comfortable working distance for rework activity. This verification is available in a large format table of up to 26” X 50” and can be customized by special order to any size required by the customer.
“We are pleased to integrate the Maxsys verification station into our product offering and allow our customers to take advantage of this high-quality inspection equipment and save both time and money,” said Roni Hod, Vice President of Operations, Artnet Pro. “Artnet Pro is committed to providing full maintenance and dedicated support to Maxsys’ verification station customers.
